About the position

The Senior Product Marketing Manager for Direct and Reporting at Morningstar is responsible for leading and driving innovation in product marketing strategies. This role focuses on developing and communicating the company's global vision and strategy, particularly for the Morningstar Direct product. The ideal candidate will create effective messaging and tools to position the product's unique value proposition, manage go-to-market efforts, and collaborate with various teams to enhance client engagement and business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop positioning, messaging, objection handling, content and sales tools that reflect the attributes and needs of key client segments & personas.
  • Dive into data-driven initiatives to define product marketing strategy through prioritization of projects and initiatives.
  • Work with client-facing teams and subject-matter experts to ensure client feedback and investment insights are integrated into marketing materials.
  • Craft and execute the go-to-market strategy for new product releases, including positioning, content development, and sales enablement.
  • Maintain and audit the current portfolio of sales enablement and client-facing assets, presenting plans for ongoing optimization.
  • Create compelling persona-based demand generation campaigns and campaign resources in alignment with product marketing.
  • Partner with corporate and product marketing teams to leverage thought leadership and brand campaigns through various platforms.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years in a product marketing or management capacity, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders, translating complex initiatives into clear materials.
  • Operational ability to perform at various business levels with a track record of building relationships.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with a focus on customer-centric marketing deliverables.
