About the position

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Coinbase, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the marketing strategy for our Institutional business. This position is designed for a dynamic individual who is passionate about the future of finance and Web3, and who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that encompasses our institutional prime brokerage products and initiatives, including trading, financing, and custody. Your work will involve close collaboration with product and sales teams to ensure that our marketing efforts align with the needs of our clients and the goals of the organization. In this role, you will act as the voice of the customer, providing insights that inform product messaging, brand differentiation, and marketing content. You will lead successful product launches and ongoing marketing campaigns, ensuring that they resonate with our target audience. Your ability to create compelling marketing collateral, such as presentations, case studies, and webinars, will be crucial in supporting the sales team and enhancing our brand's visibility in the market. You will also be responsible for measuring and reporting on the performance of product marketing initiatives, using data to guide your decisions and optimize future campaigns. As the crypto landscape is constantly changing, you will need to think creatively about how to bring institutions into the cryptoeconomy more quickly and effectively. This role is critical to Coinbase's growth ambitions and offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the rapidly evolving world of cryptocurrency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a large segment of Coinbase's marketing strategy for Coinbase Institutional.
  • Act as the voice of the customer and trusted advisor for product messaging and brand differentiation.
  • Lead successful product launches and ongoing marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to create compelling marketing collateral including presentations, one-pagers, case studies, webinars, and websites.
  • Work cross-functionally with product, sales, design, communications, and support teams to build the pipeline and improve conversion rates.
  • Measure and report on the performance of product marketing initiatives.
  • Envision the future of crypto and strategize on how to accelerate institutional adoption.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-12 years of Product Marketing experience in institutional financial services or institutional crypto product marketing.
  • Strong storytelling skills in written, verbal, and visual formats.
  • Proven track record of creating customer segment-oriented campaigns for new customer acquisition and retention.
  • Advanced quantitative and deductive skills to make data-driven decisions.
  • Outstanding project management skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the crypto industry and knowledge of the institutional crypto market.
  • Experience working on institutional financial products.
  • MBA from a premier school.
