About the position

The Senior Product Marketing Manager for Jira Expansion at Atlassian is responsible for driving the growth of Jira beyond its traditional technical user base to encompass all business teams within enterprises. This role involves developing go-to-market strategies, enabling sales teams, and crafting compelling marketing narratives that highlight Jira's unique value propositions. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to understand customer needs and market dynamics, ultimately aiming to enhance Jira's adoption across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

  • Help shape Jira's strategy for reaching new business audiences in a growing market, identifying strengths, and leading efforts to close gaps.
  • Enable Sales and Partner teams with compelling value propositions, use cases, collateral, and tools for both IT buyers and non-technical department heads.
  • Develop messaging and positioning of Jira against competitors in the enterprise, using competitive analyses to uncover differentiators.
  • Use data to develop strategy, prioritize opportunities, guide decisions, and measure the performance of go-to-market programs.
  • Develop processes to understand customer use cases and promote them to support business teams within enterprise customers.
  • Be the voice of enterprise customers by developing a deep understanding of the market, buyer personas, and the buyer journey, feeding insights back to stakeholders.
  • Be a trusted partner to the product team, relaying customer, sales, and market insights to inform product roadmap decisions.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in enterprise Product Marketing and/or supporting sales teams in B2B SaaS.
  • Expert on enterprise sales cycles and buyer personas with experience enabling enterprise GTM teams.
  • Strong storytelling skills with exceptional writing and communication abilities to translate technical features into customer value.
  • Structured thinker with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and mobilize teams across functions.
  • Cross-functional aptitude to build relationships with senior stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, and Product.
