About the position

The Product Manager will analyze market trends and collect relevant data to provide direction to the development and positioning of key products and product groups. This role involves close collaboration with the product development process and acts as a link between the Division and the operational process in the factory regarding production and delivery. The position may be filled as a Senior Product Marketing Manager or Product Marketing Manager 2 depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with senior specialty leadership to link and align priorities, projects, and plans within the division/specialty.
  • Recommends specialty business strategy and direction.
  • Develops a comprehensive marketing strategy for the mid-term (1-3 years) and detailed annual marketing plans, aligned with business objectives, brand strategy, and market trends.
  • Develops global go-to-market strategy in close collaboration with product management, sales, and global functions.
  • Develops value proposition, claims, and messaging in alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Leads and ensures the successful execution of global and regional product launches by coordinating cross-functional teams and managing timelines, resources, and outcomes.
  • Understands and uses customer personas and buyer journeys to develop marketing strategy and plans.
  • Oversees the review and approval of campaign tactics and marketing materials, ensuring compliance with advertising and promotions regulations, as well as alignment with marketing goals.
  • Engages with customers and SMEs to gain understanding of markets and customer needs and inform marketing strategy.
  • Recognized within and outside the organization as a thought leader in product marketing.
  • Influences business decisions made by senior specialty/division leadership.
  • May provide guidance, coaching, and training to employees within specialty and/or product marketing.
  • Defines strategic objectives for marketing campaigns and channels, including customer engagement tactics, events, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Responsible for improving upon existing marketing and specialty processes, systems, and operational plans.
  • Able to work independently and extensively analyze complex problems to understand root causes for a variety of unique and difficult issues.
  • Manages large, complex marketing initiatives of strategic importance involving cross-functional teams.
  • Develops and supports digital marketing strategies, including SEO, social media, email marketing, and digital advertising, ensuring alignment with broader marketing goals.
  • Leverages market research and competitive analysis to inform marketing strategies, adjusting plans based on customer feedback and market trends.
  • Implements and monitors metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing strategies, adjusting tactics to optimize performance.
  • Foster and maintain a workplace culture respectful and supportive of individual differences.
  • Complies with travel and subsistence rules and submit expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Understands and follows company quality policies and procedures with respect to Complaint Handling, Product Returns, Samples, Consignment Stock and any other areas as appropriate.
  • Ensures that Cook's Code of Conduct is considered in all business matters carried out on Cook's behalf.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required in marketing or business.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in product marketing for Senior Product Marketing Manager; 7-10 years for Product Marketing Manager 2.
  • Experience in developing effective marketing strategies and plans that drive business goals.
  • Global and domestic travel will be required.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with an operations mindset.
  • Experience working with sales and marketing teams.
  • Experience in brand management and product marketing.
