About the position

The Senior Product Marketing Manager for the Protein Sequencing Portfolio at Quantum-Si will be responsible for defining and executing strategies to enhance the adoption and utilization of the company's sequencing platform and products. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in instrumentation and software product marketing, who can leverage their understanding of customer needs and technical expertise to develop product requirements, positioning, messaging, and effective go-to-market strategies. The manager will lead cross-functional programs to achieve business goals and ensure successful product launches.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the Protein Sequencing portfolio, including instruments and software, and contribute to continuous improvement throughout their life cycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, operations, sales, and marketing, to align product strategies and ensure successful product launches.
  • Serve as the primary customer advocate through product development, driving tradeoff decisions in favor of customer and business priorities.
  • Develop go-to-market strategy for the sequencing portfolio and ensure seamless coordination across functions for successful product launches.
  • Conduct in-depth competitive analysis to inform positioning strategy and identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Assess market needs, opportunities, and trends in partnership with the market insights team to inform marketing strategies.
  • Develop and refine product positioning strategies that align with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Craft compelling messaging and value propositions that articulate the unique benefits of products compared to competitors.
  • Produce high-quality marketing collateral, including sales enablement materials and case studies, to drive product adoption.
  • Equip the sales team with necessary tools and training to effectively communicate competitive positioning and value proposition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or PhD is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of industry experience in Product Management.
  • Direct experience in proteomics applications is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in new product development and management of on-market products in the life sciences field is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills to tie detailed analysis to larger strategy and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to contribute insights into the product roadmap.
  • Sound business judgment and discretion for managing projects with dynamic timelines.
  • Ability to solve problems informed by robust analysis and multiple data points.
  • Ability to influence diverse stakeholder groups and build credibility across functions.
  • Effective communication skills with executive-level presentation experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, including occasional weekends and international travel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical knowledge of proteomics, genomics, sequencing, and molecular biology products is desired.
  • Experience in hardware product development is desirable.
