About the position

The Senior Product Marketing Manager at Proofpoint will lead the go-to-market strategy for the Security Awareness product and services, focusing on a high-growth market. This role requires a deep understanding of buyers and competitors, and involves collaboration with product management, sales, and marketing to create impactful marketing assets and drive business growth. The position emphasizes the importance of being a thought leader in the human risk management domain and requires strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Drive go-to-market strategy for Proofpoint Security Awareness products and services.
  • Become the expert on security awareness buyers and their buying criteria.
  • Build strong relationships across product management, corporate marketing, and sales to execute the go-to-market strategy.
  • Establish thought leadership in human risk management beyond traditional training.
  • Create compelling messaging and content such as webinars, blogs, and solution briefs.
  • Coordinate with sales leadership to define sales support initiatives and create enablement content.
  • Plan and manage the launches of new releases and cross-functional implementation.
  • Present at industry events, customer briefings, and sales training as the primary thought leader.
  • Explore growth opportunities by aligning the go-to-market strategy with channel partners.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of product marketing experience in enterprise security.
  • BS/BA required, preferably in business or technical concentration.
  • Proven experience marketing to enterprises and technical buyers.
  • Ability to converse across technical and sales audiences with a concise message.
  • Passion for market knowledge and translating expertise into actionable plans.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to execute tactically and manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and interpersonal skills to inspire a diverse team.
  • Ability to articulate unique value propositions at both product and solution levels.
  • Strong public speaking skills and solid writing ability.
