About the position

The T-Mobile Home Internet Product Marketing team is seeking a Senior Hardware Product Portfolio Strategy Manager to define, shape, and drive the product vision and commercial strategy for T-Mobile Home Internet's hardware products. This role is pivotal in leading the hardware product roadmap, shaping technical feature sets, and managing the launch and lifecycle of products such as the T-Mobile Wi-Fi gateway device and mesh access points. The ideal candidate will possess a strong strategic mindset, with expertise in both business and hardware/broadband sectors. In this position, the Senior Product Marketing Manager will evaluate hardware needs across T-Mobile's 5G and Fiber Home Internet businesses, translating customer experiences into technical requirements. The role involves developing business cases for new products, determining hardware solutions that drive financial efficiencies, and executing launch marketing strategies. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams to create impactful product launches, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends. The role requires a blend of analytical skills, technical acumen, and the ability to advocate for product features in collaboration with engineering teams. The Senior Hardware Product Portfolio Strategy Manager will also be responsible for defining the product portfolio vision, assessing opportunities for cost efficiencies, and staying informed on industry trends to inform product strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and implementation of T-Mobile Home Internet's product portfolio vision and story.
  • Define which hardware products should be included in the portfolio based on customer needs and pain points.
  • In partnership with product and engineering, define tech specs and features to ensure products meet customer value propositions.
  • Develop business plans for new products, including pricing strategy and forecasts.
  • Define strategy for scaling product portfolio across multiple facets of the business.
  • Stay informed on industry and market trends, competitive landscape, and innovative technologies.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development and execution of go-to-market plans.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Category Management, Product Planning, Portfolio Management, or Corporate Strategy.
  • 5+ years of product or category management experience in consumer electronics, consumer hardware, or broadband technologies.
  • Experience developing yearly business plans for product roadmaps, including financial implications.
  • Strong business and technical acumen, with the ability to advocate for technical feature requirements.
  • Experience in supply chain and demand planning, developing annual forecasts on volume, revenue, and costs.
  • Experience in hardware fleet and inventory management across multiple channels.
  • Establishing KPI metrics and driving data-driven decision-making across teams.
  • Consumer insight-driven marketer with an entrepreneurial spirit.
