About the position

The Senior Product Marketing Manager at Yes Energy plays a crucial role in driving the marketing strategy for electric power trading solutions. This position involves understanding customer needs, developing product messaging, and creating sales enablement resources. The role requires collaboration with various teams to enhance product visibility and establish Yes Energy as a thought leader in the power market industry.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Product and Sales teams to describe product offerings and develop messaging frameworks and value propositions that resonate with select customer personas.
  • Develop and evolve segmentation, targeting, and positioning for each solution/offering.
  • Contribute to GTM strategy to ensure the development of the appropriate mix of content and channels to drive acquisition and onboarding.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of power markets and the products and data that Yes Energy offers to support market participants.
  • Leverage market expertise and Yes Energy s products and analytics to create content for social media posts and blogs by monitoring market events and trends.
  • Educate both internal and external stakeholders on solution/product features, benefits, and their differentiators (with the Product team).
  • Translate customer needs into inspiring solution narratives to fuel expansion into new markets and personas and strategies for campaigns that deepen connections and drive opportunities for sales engagement.
  • Build marketing programs that articulate the value of solutions in the context of customer needs and collaborate on campaign development to drive demand.
  • Assist with the formulation of ABM campaigns for targeted segments.
  • Define sales collateral and other sales enablement tools that align with the buying process and help move prospects & customers through the sales cycle.
  • Use insights and data to inform user narratives and programs that improve the client experience, leading to product awareness, adoption, and growth.
  • Speak and present both internally and externally to promote the story of the product.
  • Successfully work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure proper targeting onboarding for customers.
  • Leverage data (e.g., dashboards, tactical metrics, organizational KPIs) to understand engagement and product usage across the funnel and identify opportunities to drive engagement/adoption.
  • Conduct ongoing market analysis to secure an understanding of market demands in the competitive landscape and inform the definition of solution/product differentiators.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years experience in the energy industry, with a strong preference for experience in North American power markets.
  • Minimum of five years experience in Marketing, Product Marketing, Product Management, or in an analyst or trader role.
  • Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment, at ease and calm with frequent pivots in priorities.
  • Proven experience engaging participants in power markets.
  • Technical aptitude with demonstrated ability to learn quickly and become fluent in new technologies.
  • Easily manages change, with a passion for innovation and creative problem-solving.
  • Metrics-driven and analytical; proven ability to prioritize, drive, and achieve results through self and others under time pressure.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time to address multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, professional environment.
  • Excellent internal and external written and verbal communication skills and ability to sell ideas well through creative & innovative presentations.
  • Exceptional program management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in SaaS, data analytics, or data science.
  • Experience working with an early-stage company with 300 or fewer employees.
