About the position

The Senior Product Owner at Humana will play a crucial role in the Marketing Regulatory and Operational Communications (MROC) team, focusing on the technical aspects of marketing campaigns. This position requires a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist certification and involves leading the development of technical requirements, coordinating with marketing strategy teams, and ensuring high-quality execution of marketing communications. The role emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the Marketing Strategy Team to translate requirements into architecture for marketing campaigns.
  • Prioritize activities across development and operations for high-quality execution.
  • Lead the delivery development team to achieve tasks and milestones.
  • Identify enhancements to messaging to align with business strategy and goals.
  • Plan and lead design review sessions with the development and delivery team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integrated solutions and resolve dependencies.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and consolidate processes across business lines.
  • Provide progress updates and manage delivery risks or issues with cross-functional teams.
  • Research potential pre and post-production issues and assist in resolution.
  • Support and execute release planning activities and escalate infrastructure issues as needed.
  • Promote best practice solutions to reduce costs and improve adoption.
  • Coach and provide development guidance to delivery team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, IT, Business, or equivalent related experience.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Email Specialist certification.
  • 4+ years of experience in communications, marketing, product ownership, or related fields.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with the SFMC platform.
  • Experience with multi-channel marketing communications.
  • Requirements documentation and story creation experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Lucid or a similar tool.
  • Demonstrated skills in leading and influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for improving consumer experiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Aprimo, ADO, and/or EMME.
  • Previous end-to-end communication experience within Humana.
  • Agile experience.
  • Additional SFMC certifications.
