About the position

The Senior Product Owner will be responsible for developing best-in-class products and solutions within the Global Business Process Automation department at CJ. This role involves owning a complete product or a subset of products, engaging effectively with team members, and communicating the product vision and strategy to stakeholders. The Senior Product Owner will focus on driving organizational excellence and business transformation through product development and management.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with company goals.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.
  • Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog based on business value and CJ talent needs.
  • Write clear and actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure the development team understands the requirements and the 'why' behind them.
  • Outline User experience framework and mock-ups for product development.
  • Apply resource management skills to outline required team members for development needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to keep them informed about product development progress.
  • Maintain up to date documentation to ensure consistent transparency for stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Lead sprint planning sessions to define the scope and objectives of each sprint.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure smooth progress and continuous improvement.
  • Make necessary adjustments to the product backlog based on sprint outcomes and feedback.
  • Plan and manage product releases, including coordination with Solutions and support teams for go-to-market activities.
  • Ensure that the product meets quality standards and delivers a seamless user experience.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and impact.
  • Collaborate with Solutions team on monitoring adoption rates, and further product development and enhancement needs.
  • Work with BPA leadership to support in employee development and focus on fostering strong mentor-mentee relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing disciplines or equivalent degree is required.
  • Certification in Agile principles and practices, such as Scrum.
  • 4+ years of business analysis experience around database marketing technologies and data management.
  • 4+ years' experience as product owner in digital marketing product or data integration platform.
  • Good experience in working with geographically and culturally diverse teams.
  • Good experience coordinating between business stakeholders and development teams.
  • Experience in working with Matrix organizations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle complex products.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and QA.

Nice-to-haves

  • Good understanding of the capabilities of SQL, ETL, DW, Cloud (AWS), Big data, API and web technologies.
  • Good understanding of the Microsoft Suite, and Salesforce platform.
  • Certification in Digital Marketing.
  • Functional knowledge of digital, affiliate, influencer and lead generation marketing.
