About the position

The Senior Product Sales Manager for Optimization & AI/ML at Ansys is responsible for driving sales efforts and acting as a liaison between sales and engineering teams to enhance product lines such as optiSLang and SimAI. This role focuses on ensuring profitability and growth by providing simulation automation and optimization solutions to customers, requiring a blend of technical expertise and sales acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Perform product sales activities for new/renewal business for optiSLang and SimAI to achieve or exceed assigned product and service revenue objectives.
  • Partner with field and enterprise sales within Ansys and Channel partners to collaboratively develop and execute strategies that drive product and service revenue.
  • Contribute to all stages of the sales process effectively.
  • Facilitate communication with the sales and technical team regarding product capabilities and success stories.
  • Serve as a business development partner to the sales team by identifying and driving new business opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business.
  • Participate in industry shows and conventions.
  • Create and lead advanced solution presentations to match identified customer needs using company's products and services.
  • Coordinate and organize technical support for demos and training.
  • Work with team members to develop clear proposals and value propositions for customers.
  • Provide client feedback to product development and marketing staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in technical, engineering or related field with 4+ years sales or consulting experience in selling engineering/technology applications, or 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in engineering analysis and technology.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams and hierarchies.
  • Fluent in English and the local language of the territory.
