About the position

The Senior Product Test Analyst at NIKE, Inc. is responsible for utilizing mechanical engineering and biomechanics expertise to execute research programs and test methodologies aimed at innovating footwear technology. This role involves developing and managing human perception test programs, conducting applied research, and creating prototypes to enhance product performance and prevent injuries. The analyst will oversee all phases of test planning, execution, and analysis, ensuring compliance with testing standards while driving future product innovations.

Responsibilities

• Utilize mechanical engineering and biomechanics experience to execute research programs and test methodologies for footwear innovation.
• Develop and manage human perception test programs focused on NXT Footwear consumers.
• Conduct basic and applied research to enhance performance and prevent injury in footwear.
• Manage all phases of test planning, execution, and analysis of results.
• Develop proof of concept prototypes and devise methods for modeling and analyzing products.
• Create inclusive research and testing plans that exceed current footwear testing capacities.
• Ensure testing procedures comply with internal and external standards.

Requirements

• PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, Biology, Kinesiology, or a related field.
• Completion of a graduate-level course, research project, internship, or thesis, or one year of relevant experience.
• Experience in quantitative analysis, testing methodologies, and technical writing.
• Proficiency in biomechanical analysis and product concept validation.
• Experience with technical footwear and shoe forensic inspection.
