About the position

The Senior Production Manager at SGK is responsible for overseeing the execution of experiential build projects, ensuring they meet quality standards, budget constraints, and timelines. This role involves collaborating with various teams and vendors, managing production plans, and problem-solving directly with clients on-site. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in shop and fabrication, with a passion for design and materials, and will be expected to become a subject matter expert in fabrication details and methods.

Responsibilities

  • Creating the overall production plan for experiential or retail projects, ensuring quality deliverables through to installation.
  • Reviewing 3D mock-ups and architectural drawings, providing plans for fabrication partners, and running shop/vendor reviews.
  • Establishing estimates for production/installation portions of programs and negotiating with vendors to achieve profit levels.
  • Managing production/installation vendors to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Identifying potential problems and suggesting alternatives based on cost implications, time constraints, and client expectations.
  • Conducting frequent travel to vendors and client installations, including site surveys and supervision of installers/vendors.
  • Communicating project status with manufacturing, account teams, clients, and project management teams.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Development, Project Management, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive product management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role (direct or indirect).
  • Prior managerial/supervisory experience.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, and planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
