About the position

Responsibilities

• Assist in controlling expenses
• Provide for the compliance and coordination of the federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements
• Interpret and enforce company policies
• Maintain non-union program
• Assist in the determination of manpower needs and make recommendations
• Prepare and maintain prescribed records and reports to ensure that they reflect conditions accurately
• Solve problems in an effective manner with sound follow up
• Work with department heads to meet production quality yields goals and metrics goals while ensuring the maintenance of labor standards and quality of performance and product
• Inspect and maintain a high degree of competence in the areas of housekeeping, safety, sanitation, security, and food safety
• Manage, evaluate, and train production supervisors
• Oversee all designated shift operations and any other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the plant manager

Requirements

• High School diploma with equivalent experience or college degree preferred
• 5 plus years of related industry (labeling, shipping, or warehousing) or supervisory experience in a poultry meat processing facility preferred
• Inventory/System management experience preferred
• Experience with SAP preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, and HAACP regulations
• Standard computer skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Leader, problem solver, team player
