You will help to ensure that patients and physicians have the medicines they need, when they need them.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and respond to basic functioning needs of area equipment, i.e. line speed, feeding product, line clearances, cleaning, loading or unloading materials adhering to all SOPs, cGMPs, plant quality, safety, and documentation systems requirements.
  • Operate and maintain assigned production equipment.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment.
  • Assist with training others and reinforce behaviors that will help achieve the goal of providing the best healthcare to patients.
  • Communicate and inform management of all safety issues, quality issues, and equipment repair plan of action recommendations.
  • Support the Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) activities including tracking metrics.
  • Perform machine set-up, repairs, adjustments, changeovers, emergency repair/replacement, and preventative maintenance on production equipment.
  • Interact and interpret data from production equipment automated control systems and displays.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 6+ years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience (+ certification).
  • Problem solving mindset.
  • Possess necessary mechanical skills to perform the required machine set-up, repairs and adjustments.
  • Proficiently operate/maintain various standard maintenance tools/equipment including basic hand and power tools, multi-meters, and other mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and perform job duties described in operating procedure, product batch records, and other equipment related documentation.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of relevant pharmaceutical manufacturing experience as operator/mechanic.
  • Technical school/ Auto Mechanic Program Certificate and/or Industrial maintenance/repair experience.
