About the position

The Senior Production/QA Engineer position at Odyssey Systems involves providing engineering and scientific expertise to support the Strategic Integrated Kinetic Effects (STRIKE) Project Office. This role focuses on the Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) and Mid-Range Capability (MRC) Army weapon systems, ensuring quality assurance and technical support throughout the development and production phases. The engineer will be responsible for requirements reviews, design reviews, technical documentation, and quality assurance processes, contributing to the successful fielding of advanced weapon systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering and scientific expertise in planning, development, and execution of requirements and design reviews for LRHW and MRC weapon systems.
  • Assist in developing assessment briefings and coordinate requirements review and design review summary reports.
  • Provide technical input for Requests for Proposal (RFPs) including recommendations on statements of work (SOW) and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL).
  • Support and maintain the document repository for CDRLs, system specifications, and data requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as evaluations, reports, and briefings for LRHW and MRC product development.
  • Provide technical recommendations in missiles and the interface between munitions and launcher systems.
  • Perform trade-off studies and risk assessment analysis of candidate systems.
  • Provide inputs to the integrated master schedule for LRHW and MRC programs.
  • Provide technical expertise for briefings, meetings, and working groups related to LRHW and MRC programs.
  • Provide engineering expertise in guidance and control systems for weapons systems.
  • Prepare and maintain performance management documentation such as evaluations and reports.
  • Participate in Technical Exchange Working Groups and document action items.
  • Provide Quality Assurance technical advice and recommendations for audit activities and production validations.
  • Support the Government's administration of Quality Assurance programs (ISO-9000/AS9100).
  • Provide technical expertise for the development of special processes and procedures.
  • Assist with technical issues found from production batch testing and quality assurance reporting.
  • Gather relevant production and hardware delivery information for munitions and GSE.
  • Evaluate data for sufficiency and resolve inconsistencies with authoritative sources.
  • Provide technical expertise in support of the Government's administration of Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) programs.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Secret clearance required.
  • MA/MS Degree in a relevant field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in engineering or related fields.
