About the position

The Senior Program Coordinator will work within the Office of Sexual Health and Epidemiology (OSHE). The incumbent will contribute to the planning, coordination, and implementation of sexual health programming and contract management as well as other related activities which promote the accomplishment of grant deliverables and other Office and/or AIDS Institute needs.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute toward the development of program policies, standards and guidance documents
  • Conduct and lead contract management activities
  • Oversee and monitor of contract spending
  • Review and analyze data to monitor progress toward meeting OSHE program goals and workplan objectives
  • Communicate successes and challenges
  • Inform funding and resource allocation for sexual health programming
  • Oversee and prepare quantitative data and program reports
  • Provide technical assistance to contractors and community partners
  • Prepare presentations and conduct training on sexual health topics
  • Host and/or participate in virtual and on site (when possible) meetings/calls and coordinate and implement quality improvement activities

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of program coordination experience in a public health, health, or human services-related program or community-based organization
  • OR an Associate's degree in a related field and six years of such experience
  • OR eight years of such experience
  • The experience must have been contributing toward the development, implementation and/or evaluation of a program, project, or other related activities
  • A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience
  • At least two years of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in public administration or related field
  • At least three years of experience managing grants and contracts
  • At least three years of experience providing technical assistance and support to staff and contractors
  • At least three years of experience supervising staff
  • At least two years of experience utilizing grant systems
  • Experience with MS Office 365, (including One Drive, MSTeams and SharePoint) and with using virtual meeting platforms (WebEx and Zoom)
