About the position

The Senior Program Coordinator at Health Research, Inc. will oversee the CDC Public Health Infrastructure Grant activities within the Metropolitan Area Regional Office. This role involves program planning, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, and facilitating communication between various health departments. The coordinator will also supervise staff, provide technical assistance, and represent the office in workgroups, contributing to the overall mission of enhancing public health initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee CDC Public Health Infrastructure Grant activities within the Metropolitan Area Regional Office.
  • Ensure compliance with CDC Public Health Infrastructure grant requirements.
  • Streamline communication between Central, Regional Offices, and Local Health Departments.
  • Host workgroup meetings to connect Central OPH Programs and Services to Regional Offices.
  • Supervise staff working with local health departments.
  • Provide guidance and technical assistance related to CDC reporting, recruitment, and retention activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of program coordination experience in public health or related fields; OR an Associate's degree and six years of experience; OR eight years of relevant experience.
  • At least two years of experience must include supervision of staff and/or program management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with contract/program management and provision of technical assistance to service providers.
  • Experience with policy analysis and development.
  • Experience monitoring and evaluating programs and quality improvement activities within a public health or social service setting.
