About the position

The Senior Program Coordinator for the Deming Department of Medicine - Section of Biomedical Informatics and Genomics at Tulane University plays a pivotal role in the coordination and management of graduate education programs in Biomedical Informatics. This position is integral to the day-to-day operations of the Master's program and the interdisciplinary PhD track, ensuring that both programs run smoothly and effectively. The coordinator will interface with a variety of stakeholders, including administrators, faculty, program directors, students, and prospective students, to facilitate communication and collaboration across the department. In this role, the Senior Program Coordinator will be responsible for enhancing the educational experience for students by fostering interest in the programs, supporting student success, and tracking program outcomes. This includes developing strategies to improve student engagement, retention, and overall satisfaction with the programs. The coordinator will also be tasked with organizing events, workshops, and seminars that promote the programs and provide valuable learning opportunities for students. Additionally, the Senior Program Coordinator will be involved in the assessment and evaluation of the programs, collecting data on student performance and program effectiveness. This information will be used to make informed decisions about program improvements and to report on outcomes to stakeholders. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement in the educational offerings of the department.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
