About the position

The Senior Program Coordinator at Housing Works plays a crucial role in overseeing the Emergency & Transitional Housing Program, which provides support services to individuals reentering the community after incarceration. This position involves administrative oversight, budget management, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with standards and enhance program effectiveness. The coordinator will supervise key staff, manage operations, and engage in community relations to improve outcomes for justice-involved individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision of the Operations Manager and Program Assistant.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the program site.
  • Collaborate with building management for maintenance and repairs.
  • Submit timely weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Maintain accurate census and operations-related data.
  • Promote safety and well-being within the program site.
  • Manage the program site's budget and participate in fiscal activities.
  • Assist in developing and implementing program policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate team meetings and staff training sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Build relationships with community members and law enforcement agencies.
  • Attend interdisciplinary case conferences as needed.
  • Engage in crisis intervention when necessary.
  • Promote Housing Works' core values in daily activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in social services, psychology, social work, or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory or program administration experience.
  • Experience with program or building management.
  • Experience with criminal justice-involved populations and substance use/mental health issues.
  • Strong written documentation and communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience utilizing EMR systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient technical skills for Microsoft Office and case management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
