About the position

KBR is seeking a Senior Program Management and Acquisition Support professional to oversee the development of innovative space vehicles and missions. This role involves managing a DoD acquisition program at the vendor location, ensuring timely delivery within budget while meeting performance parameters. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and technical expertise in space hardware and software development, and will be a leader capable of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as program advisory lead for critical technical projects and tasks requiring technical expertise.
  • Assist in acquisition planning and drafting technical requirements and documents.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to verify program needs and meet project goals.
  • Help assess the technical sufficiency, cost, quality, and timely delivery of program deliverables.
  • Provide technical advice and assist with problem resolution in collaboration with engineers.
  • Support management and execution of programs consisting of multiple projects, ensuring efficient coordination and resource allocation.
  • Develop a Monthly Status Report on support efforts, including updates on status, performance, and contractor performance.
  • Draft, review, and edit final program reports, documents, and briefings.
  • Support acquisition planning and development of documents for systems acquisition.
  • Advise government management on design challenges, supply chain issues, and integration support.

Requirements

  • Minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience on space development programs for the DoD or IC.
  • Experience in the development and fielding of satellite systems through assembly, integration, and test.
  • Experience with Space Vehicle and subsystem integration.
  • Experience in DoD acquisition management.
  • Understanding of operational environment and corresponding mission user needs.
  • Experience analyzing and developing contract data requirements lists and deliverables.
  • Experience with Integrated Master Schedules and risk management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Fifteen (15) years of relevant experience on space development programs in the DoD or IC.
  • Experience in production management and/or industrial engineering.
  • Experience with ACAT I/II level acquisition programs.
  • Experience as a SETA in a government program office.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping.
  • Experience with integrated air, space, and cyberspace capabilities.
