About the position
The Senior Program Manager for Advertising Finance & Business Integration at Amazon plays a crucial role in supporting and influencing the launch of global business initiatives within Amazon Advertising. This position involves collaboration with various teams, including global financial systems, accounting operations, tax, and treasury, to deliver scalable and secure solutions. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage lifecycle activities from planning to project closing for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Lead automation projects to design processes and tools for improving financial statement accuracy.
- Support the expansion of Amazon's business by implementing controlled processes for financial statements.
- Act as a consultant to partner with various stakeholder teams across Amazon.
- Make impactful decisions to drive project completion.
- Collaborate with diverse teams within Amazon.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in finance or a related analytical field.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
Nice-to-haves
- CPA certification.
- Knowledge of internal control frameworks (specifically COSO).
- Familiarity with GAAP research tools and the FASB codification.
- Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients.
- Experience in researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions.
- 5+ years of program or project management experience in a mid-size or large company.
- Experience managing accounting/finance process improvement and/or technology projects.
