About the position

The Senior Program Manager for Amazon Business Operations will lead the Program Management Office (PMO) to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness across the organization. This role focuses on reducing risk and complexity in processes while ensuring high-quality standards in project management. The Senior Program Manager will coordinate annual planning, facilitate business reviews, and manage the organization's calendar of milestones, driving continuous improvement and strategic alignment within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate three-year planning and annual planning for the Worldwide AB Operations org.
  • Conduct annual goal setting and subsequent monthly reporting to ensure a high-quality standard across the board.
  • Maintain the org's calendar of major milestones, develop working backward plans for each, and ensure clear ownership, setting the org up for success.
  • Facilitate weekly and quarterly business reviews with senior leaders to ensure high-quality reviews and thorough follow-through of any action items resulting from them.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of cross-functional programs with a significant impact across multiple organizations.
  • Define the program (mission, vision, tenets), set objectives, analyze data, and drive improvements that are quantified with metrics.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Master's degree
