About the position

The Senior Program Manager for the Consumer Product Operations Team at UnitedHealthcare is responsible for enhancing the healthcare experience by utilizing product management best practices to support broader business needs. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify problems, implement solutions, and measure outcomes, ultimately aiming to create modern, intuitive, and cross-channel consumer experiences. The position requires a strategic mindset and the ability to drive operational excellence while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive cross-functional road maps, milestones, and key updates across the business.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for management processes, resources, and governance.
  • Provide mentor support for Program and Product Managers to foster skill development.
  • Act as the primary intake channel for new opportunities and map out the omni-channel experience with stakeholders.
  • Apply strategic mindset to set digital goals, prioritize work, and align on quality & delivery expectations.
  • Establish standards and guidelines for program status reporting, including milestones, risks, and value impact.
  • Drive critical conversations for decisions throughout the year and adapt to emerging opportunities.
  • Influence others and processes using strong interpersonal skills and critical thinking.
  • Build solid relationships with key stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities.
  • Partner with digital product and experience owners to ensure roadmap delivery.
  • Lead operational excellence efforts to improve planning, tracking, and delivery of the portfolio of work.
  • Identify areas of opportunities and deliver solutions to standardize presentations and team workspaces.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in program/product management offices.
  • Experience systematically analyzing problems and devising appropriate courses of action.
  • Experience prioritizing and managing demanding workloads with concurrent deadlines.
  • Experience with large matrixed organizations and their operations.
  • Solid analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with MS Office, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Experience utilizing Visio or Miro for process mapping.
  • Experience using product management software AHA!
  • Experience in Healthcare.
