About the position

The Senior Program Manager - Contracting Specialist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center is responsible for managing the end-to-end contract process for HealthIT. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including Product Owners, Enterprise Architecture, IT Sourcing, Legal, and Procurement, to negotiate and execute agreements that align with VUMC's business needs while mitigating risks. The Program Manager also anticipates upcoming contract renewals and ensures they are processed timely and budgeted appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Develops program plans, goals and objectives in collaboration with program and area leadership.
• Provides professional and/or technical leadership in the execution of day-to-day program activities.
• Communicates within and across departments to maximize information sharing around progress, needs, inter-dependencies and accomplishments.
• Participates in institutional task forces and other special committees related to the achievement of goals and objectives.
• Anticipates upcoming renewals 12-18 months in advance, working with product owners to ensure timely processing and budgeting.

Requirements

• 5 years of relevant work experience in program management or contracting.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Advanced knowledge in quality management, networking, peer leadership, process improvement, financial processes, and program management.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in healthcare or health information technology sectors.
• Familiarity with legal and procurement processes.
