In this high-profile role, you will serve as the overall program leader for one of AMD's Client Compute Group's leading Ryzen product families. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire product lifecycle, from concept to delivery, driving the definition, execution, and productization of our world-class desktop, notebook, and workstation platforms. As the core team leader, you will collaborate across all engineering and business functions to achieve both technical and financial performance objectives for the program. We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in new product development, particularly in system definition, chip design, platform management, and program management. The ideal candidate will have experience as both a technical lead and a program manager, with a strong understanding of the silicon engineering process, preferably in CPU or APU development, from concept through to production. Additionally, experience managing multi-site and multi-disciplined engineering programs is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Drive requirements, definition, design, technology, supply chain, platform, product, software, ecosystem, quality, and business functions.
  • Report regularly to executives on status, decisions, and solutions to issues during execution.
  • Deliver on all program commitments in alignment with customer and Business Division objectives.
  • Own program-level definition in concert with Business Teams.
  • Vet or reject new business requests and sanction proposed or agreed-upon changes by the core team.
  • Drive core team to consensus on technical decisions that impact bounding box.
  • Hit cost, schedule, committed features, power, and performance targets.
  • Deliver overall messaging of status and issues to key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage direct customer and partner relationships on some programs.
  • Tailor the roles of each core team member according to program needs, defining cross-functional ownership and managing effective performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in new product development.
  • Experience as a technical lead and program manager.
  • Strong understanding of the silicon engineering process, preferably CPU or APU, from concept to production.
  • Experience driving multi-site and multi-disciplined engineering programs.
  • Exceptional communication skills and outstanding people management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Software-based program management experience.
  • Experience with AI or ML.
  • Gaming and software experience relative to Gaming Platforms.
