About the position

The Senior Program Manager (FEMA Grant Program) at AtkinsRéalis is responsible for leading and managing FEMA Grant Contracts, focusing on strategy marketing and client management. This role involves overseeing project production, financial performance, and contract negotiations while ensuring strong client relations and effective team management. The position is crucial for driving the company's mission to build a better world through infrastructure and project management services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor annual and strategic marketing plans for targeted projects.
  • Pursue, investigate, and evaluate new or expanded opportunities for associated projects and services.
  • Review proposal teams and recommend project marketing budgets.
  • Maintain and strengthen client relations with existing clients and build new relationships.
  • Serve as a point of contact to clients and act as a liaison between management and clients on advanced program-related issues.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on behalf of the client's program.
  • Assist project staff in developing work plans and review schedules, budgets, and project milestones.
  • Oversee financial performance of projects and assist in identifying potential problems.
  • Conduct contract negotiations with clients and sub-consultants.
  • Recommend operational budgets for approval by senior management.
  • Monitor monthly performance against budget to ensure project profitability.
  • Manage assignments involving large complex projects generating annual net revenue between $5 million to $20 million.
  • Assist management in identifying staffing needs and the hiring/compensation process.
  • Manage indirect reports and support mentoring and evaluation of staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Planning, Finance, Disaster Management, Economics, or related field.
  • 15 plus years' experience with FEMA or similar federal agency grant programs and administration.
  • Relevant experience in marketing and strategic planning.
  • Experience in managing large program contracts and leading diverse teams.
  • Experience briefing Executive Leadership on business plans and growth strategies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification or ability to acquire within 6 months.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a changing work environment.
