About the position

The Senior Program Manager will play a crucial role in supporting and influencing the launch of Amazon's global business initiatives across various sectors including consumer products, digital initiatives, and cloud computing. This position involves collaboration with multiple teams to deliver scalable and secure financial solutions, while ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and managing lifecycle activities for multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage lifecycle activities from planning to project closing for multiple projects simultaneously.
• Lead automation projects to design processes and tools for improving financial statement accuracy.
• Support the expansion of Amazon's business by implementing controlled processes for financial statements.
• Act as a consultant to partner with various stakeholder teams across Amazon.
• Make impactful decisions to drive project completion.
• Collaborate with diverse teams within Amazon.

Requirements

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
• Experience owning program strategy and end-to-end delivery.
• Experience managing accounting/finance process improvement and/or technology projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree, or CMA or CPA certification.
• PMP certification.
• Experience in managing cross-functional initiatives through influence rather than direct management.
