About the position

The Program Manager at Checkr will oversee and optimize the operations tooling stack, focusing on major technology migrations and continuous improvement cycles. This role is essential for ensuring that projects align with business strategies and goals, while also managing interconnected roadmaps to facilitate seamless delivery of strategic initiatives across operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale tool migrations, particularly with Salesforce, and will collaborate effectively with both technical and operations teams to drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead and manage the day-to-day migration of operations tools, including transitioning to Salesforce.
  • Ensure projects align with business strategy and goals.
  • Oversee continuous improvement cycles across the tooling stack to enhance operational efficiency and performance.
  • Develop and manage interconnected roadmaps that align with various operational and business objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans with clear documentation, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Maintain thorough project documentation throughout project lifecycles.
  • Engage with key stakeholders across departments to ensure alignment.
  • Communicate effectively with executive leadership and steering committees both verbally and in writing.
  • Facilitate regular meetings, provide updates, and ensure clear communication with all stakeholders involved in the projects.
  • Manage cross-functional Jira boards and sprints to ensure aligned delivery of roadmap and run-the-business items.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in program/project management, focusing on tool migrations and systems implementations.
  • Strong background in operations tools, especially Salesforce, and experience managing large-scale migrations.
  • Proficient in program management tools such as JIRA, GSuite, and Smartsheet, with strong skills in JIRA and sprint management.
  • Proven ability to engage and manage stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify insights, optimize processes, and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • A track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing changing priorities effectively.
