As a Senior Program Manager in Product Development, you will lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world. This role presents a promising opportunity to join the Portfolio Management team, focusing on the development of the Multiple Daily Injection System (MDIS) at Medtronic Diabetes. You will be involved in various hardware innovations within the MDIS portfolio, while also having the chance to work on the entire product portfolio that encompasses Cloud, Software, and App components. Reporting to the MDIS Portfolio Leader, you will manage one or more programs, leading the Core Team to drive decisions and execute them effectively. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in medical device product development, excellent problem-solving abilities, and program/project management skills, along with experience in influencing cross-functional stakeholders. You will be accountable to the Product Review Committee and PMO Leader for overall program execution, maintaining the phase schedule and leading cross-functional teams through successful completion of the phase review process. Your responsibilities will include resolving action items initiated at phase reviews, ensuring that cross-functional resources are assigned and held accountable for task and outcome completion, and managing project budgets to meet established return on investments per project. In this role, you will also provide a communication link between the project team and the PRC, ensuring team deliverables comply with the PDP process and meet the PRC's expectations. You will coach team members to ensure process adherence and effective project management, utilizing best practice project management skills. Additionally, you will guide and assist in PDP continuous improvement initiatives, provide feedback to functional department heads during the AOP and strategic planning processes, and oversee the operational aspects of ongoing projects, serving as a liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Your ability to assess project issues and develop resolutions will be crucial in meeting productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals and objectives.
