About the position

As a Product Owner (PO) within a fast-paced Generative AI project at Siemens, you will advocate for a development team by translating global product strategy, customer requirements, and cross-team needs into actionable tasks. Your role is crucial in ensuring that the development team delivers the right products by creating, prioritizing, and managing the team's backlog, including defining acceptance criteria. You will work closely with developers and engineers during sprints to ensure features are implemented according to requirements, while also motivating the team to understand tasks and communicate customer value effectively.

Responsibilities

• Act as an advocate for the development team, translating product strategy and customer requirements into day-to-day operations.
• Create, prioritize, and manage the team's backlog, including defining acceptance criteria.
• Work closely with developers and engineers during sprints to ensure features are implemented according to requirements.
• Present and explain product backlog items to help the team understand tasks and their importance.
• Communicate understanding of customer value to enable the team's work with maximum clarity.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in software development, including experience with artificial intelligence, data science, or cloud engineering.
• Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in the AI or tech industry, focusing on Generative AI with contributions to released projects/products.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies, particularly Generative AI, and their applications.
• Ability to translate customer needs into actionable work items and understand technology impact.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and tools, such as Lean Startup concepts and Scrum/SAFe frameworks.

• Experience with common AI concepts and tools.
• Ability to analyze complex data and empathize with core mechanisms of AI algorithms.
• Experience in coaching team members in AI-related areas.
