About the position

The Senior Program Manager for the Amazon Rufus Editorial team will lead key projects related to Amazon's generative AI-powered shopping assistant, Rufus. This role focuses on improving customer experience through technology and innovation, requiring collaboration across various functions including product, design, science, and engineering. The successful candidate will manage complex editorial workstreams, establish best practices, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to drive results in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead key projects for large, complex editorial workstreams, identifying, assessing, and prioritizing opportunities based on strategic goals, business needs, and customer value.
  • Consult with key partners to determine program prioritization, while sourcing and coordinating resources.
  • Proactively monitor progress against goals while anticipating and mitigating risks, creating and owning solutions, and successfully resolving issues.
  • Act as a subject matter expert by contributing perspective, insights, and knowledge to guide the establishment of new processes and systems.
  • Lead data analysis, reporting, building efficient processes, influence roadmaps and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to meet the org goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of developing program strategies and plans, diving execution, and influencing senior stakeholders experience.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams across geographies and set up review mechanisms and SLAs for resolution.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, preferably in e-commerce or AI/ML-related fields.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, particularly in natural language processing and conversational AI.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
