About the position

The Senior Program Manager for Sustainability at Houston Methodist is responsible for comprehensive program management, including setting strategic direction for complex and large programs. This role involves leading, designing, guiding, and executing strategies while managing relationships with hospital leadership, clients, partners, and vendors. The position focuses on planning, design implementation, measurement, and maintenance of desired outcomes, ensuring senior leadership engagement and governance of the system strategy. The Senior Program Manager works independently and collaboratively to identify problems and creative solutions, while also mentoring junior team members and providing technical expertise for successful program implementation and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead program strategies with key stakeholders to ensure timelines, deliverables, and budgets are met.
• Facilitate teamwork within and between departments, promoting system-wide programming and obtaining buy-in for change efforts.
• Analyze data relevant to the role and provide summary information to develop system-wide strategies to improve outcomes.
• Develop and lead training strategies and communication related to programs to drive improved outcomes.
• Manage the scope, schedule, and budget of assigned programs, identifying opportunities for financial improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, healthcare administration, clinical or related field.
• Five years of experience related to business or healthcare administration or in a nonprofit setting.
