About the position

The Senior Program Manager for University Partnerships and Outreach at Amazon Fulfillment Technologies and Robotics (FTR) is responsible for shaping and managing university engagements, focusing on diversity, inclusion, and workforce development. This role involves strategic planning, building partnerships, and executing programs that connect Amazon's internal science community with academic research in robotics. The successful candidate will lead projects that promote Amazon's brand and establish talent pipelines while measuring the effectiveness of these engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Scope and vision university engagements and develop strategic partnerships.
  • Build and manage relationships with university leaders and faculty.
  • Plan, execute, and deliver programs focused on diversity and workforce development.
  • Create content and plan events to engage Amazon's internal science community.
  • Measure the effectiveness of university partnerships and outreach initiatives.
  • Communicate progress and outcomes through written reports and other channels.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Graduate degree or equivalent technology industry work experience.
  • Experience managing programs/projects in research, higher education, STEM, or related fields.
  • Ability to work with engineering community across the organization.
  • Ability to communicate to diverse audiences.
  • 3+ years of work experience working with university partners.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience.
  • Experience in working with STEM partners or being trained in STEM.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical and non-technical information.
  • Experience in research administration, corporate giving, or university recruiting.
  • Experience in content development with the ability to influence across various media.
