About the position

The Senior Manager for Collaborative Mission Autonomy Programs and Products at Collins Aerospace is responsible for overseeing the P&L of advanced autonomy programs, driving strategic planning, and managing key business relationships. This role involves developing new business growth strategies, coordinating contract negotiations, and ensuring profitability targets are met while addressing program challenges and risks. The position requires a strong focus on program financial analysis and collaboration with customers to ensure successful project completion.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee P&L of advanced Autonomy Programs to ensure profitability targets are met.
  • Drive strategic planning efforts for large and complex future autonomy capture programs.
  • Develop new business growth strategies.
  • Coordinate negotiation, proposals, business plans, budgets, and contracts for programs.
  • Establish cost-focused performance targets and direct work to achieve these targets.
  • Establish milestones, develop and own program plans/budgets, and actively manage program risks and opportunities.
  • Review and present plans and progress reports, monitoring the presentation of value-stream strategy, progress, and results.
  • Identify and react to program problems, recommending solutions and assisting in resolution development for escalated problems.
  • Drive responses to customer action items and interface with customers for project specifications.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 10%.
  • 5+ years of experience with program financial analysis tools and ETC methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of collaborative autonomy technology and programs.
  • Experience working on advanced program industry Consortiums.
  • Experience working on software development programs, Agile Development, and DevSecOps.
  • Experience managing strategic IRAD projects and leading cross business unit pursuits.
  • Experience with US DoD customers and US government acquisition process including OTAs.
  • Ability to travel regularly, including internationally.
  • Existing US DoD Security Clearance.
  • Experience with Collins Management System (CMS).
