About the position

Ultra I&C is seeking a Senior Program Manager in Huntsville, AL office to lead a team within the Command, Control, Intelligence & Encryption (C2I&E) business unit. This role is responsible for overseeing development and integration programs for advanced C2 technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience managing Earned Value (EV) programs, drive program execution, and ensure alignment with customer requirements, cost, and schedule objectives while leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. Have overall responsibility for managing revenue, gross margins, cost, and profit elements of multiple projects, ensuring Earned Value Metrics align with financial targets. Develop and maintain project schedules with weekly updates, including resource level loading and baseline management. Identify, track, and mitigate programmatic and technical risks. Conduct/support internal and external customer milestone reviews, including presentation material development. Lead monthly project executive reviews. Manage and mentor direct reports, including engineering resources (software, systems, and program support). Oversee program personnel and engineering tasks across multiple projects to achieve objectives, with support from a project engineer. Coordinate with Contracts, Finance, Human Resources, and Procurement to support program activities. Lead and/or support proposal development to secure follow-on work and new programs. Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers. Manage the creation and delivery of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), including the Program Management Plan, Risk Management Plan, and Monthly Status Reports. Prioritize deadlines and apply problem-solving skills to program challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ Years’ experience managing large-scale engineering development projects.
  • 4+ years experience with defense and government contracting.
  • PMP Certification or willingness to obtain within a year of hire.
  • Willing to travel 25% of the time domestic and international.
  • Ability to obtain US Security Clearance.
