About the position

The Senior Program Manager will lead and grow major software development programs within the Homeland & Force Protection Business Area at Leidos. This role involves building customer relationships, providing strategic thought leadership in technical management, and overseeing multiple software development projects to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a customer/client advocate managing expectations and results.
  • Provide technical oversight of major software development/SecDecOps programs.
  • Lead project teams throughout the software delivery life cycle to support critical missions.
  • Assist senior leaders in defining strategies for contract management, financial performance, and budget control.
  • Provide oversight and review financial estimates and ROMs for new development efforts.
  • Maintain responsibility for the leadership and development of experienced program execution teams.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience with 15+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's with 13+ years of relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in technical solutioning and managing software systems development in DoD, federal government, or commercial entities.
  • Active PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or DAIWA/DAI Level II or III Program Manager Certification.
  • Experience managing projects using various SDLC models, CMMI, SAFe, and Agile/SecDevOps.
  • Experience with cloud-enabled solutions and architecture development.
  • Experience managing large programs with a total contract value of $65M or greater.
  • Experience leading project teams of over 100 FTEs and managing sub-contractors.
  • Knowledge of all phases of the proposal lifecycle.

Nice-to-haves

  • Leadership experience in shaping, capturing, and delivering large government proposals.
  • Customs and Border Protection background investigation (current or prior).
  • CBP or Top Secret clearance or higher.
  • Experience with the Department of Homeland Security, including TSA, CBP, FEMA, and/or ICE.
