About the position

The Senior Master Scheduler will lead the planning, development, execution, analysis, and reporting of Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for programs and manufacturing operations. This role is crucial for ensuring that project timelines and resource allocations are effectively managed, and it involves collaboration with various teams to maintain data accuracy and resolve inconsistencies. The position reports to a Program Manager and requires a strong background in program planning and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and management of program/project and manufacturing schedules and resource plans using MS Project.
  • Support the Program Manager in defining Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) based on contract requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams on IMS development and status to ensure data accuracy and resolve inconsistencies.
  • Analyze schedules by performing Critical Path Analysis and provide critical path impact reports with recommended conflict resolution actions.
  • Support the Program Manager in tracking program and manufacturing project costs based on the IMS and technical requirements.
  • Advise management of execution risks that may affect project revenues, costs, and schedules.
  • Review all subcontractor and vendor change requests and advise Program Managers of any schedule impact of proposed design changes.
  • Provide weekly/monthly program status updates including Earned Value Performance as appropriate.
  • Support other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with Program Planning utilizing Microsoft Project.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project required.
  • Understanding of various contract types, i.e., Cost Plus, T&M, FFP, and ensuring all requirements of the prime contract are understood.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EV/EVMS) desired.
  • Demonstrated experience in using MS Office suite products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
  • Ability to plan and organize time to work productively and efficiently while adjusting to changes in priorities and schedules.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EV/EVMS) desired.
