About the position

The Senior Program & Project Standards Manager at GCI Communication Corp is responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving the organization's project and program management standards, methodologies, and processes. This role is pivotal in setting the standards for project execution and ensuring that these standards remain relevant and effective across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project and program management standards and methodologies.
• Continuously improve project execution processes across the organization.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in project management standards.
• Anticipate and prevent potential problems and roadblocks in project execution.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and GCI's Code of Business Conduct & Ethics.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification in good standing, or ability to obtain within six months of employment.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or related field.
• Minimum of ten years of experience in project management or related role, focusing on developing and implementing standards and methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in project management or MBA.
• Experience in creating procedure documentation.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and frameworks.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as ServiceNow, Daylight, Microsoft Project, JIRA/Confluence, Aha!
• Telecommunications experience.
• Relevant telecom industry or job-specific certifications.
