About the position

The Senior Program Risk Manager at Westinghouse is responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing risks associated with various programs and projects. This role supports the sales and finance teams during the development of commercial offers and oversees a small team of risk analysts. The position requires collaboration with project managers and senior stakeholders to ensure effective risk management throughout the project lifecycle, while also implementing a risk governance model within the Long-Term Operations Business Unit.

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential risks and opportunities that could impact program objectives and assess their likelihood and impact.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of identified risks.
  • Continuously monitor risks and provide regular updates to stakeholders on the status of risk management activities.
  • Work closely with tendering teams, project managers, team members, and stakeholders to ensure that risk management activities are integrated into project planning and execution.
  • Maintain comprehensive risk registers and prepare detailed risk management reports for senior management.
  • Provide training and support to project teams on risk management processes and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in risk management, preferably in a program or project management environment.
  • Familiarity with Project Controls including scheduling and costing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • 20+ years working in Project Management or related field managing large EPC type projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional certification in risk management (e.g., PMI-RMP, CRISC).
  • Experience with risk management software tools.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in risk management.
  • Previous experience working in Contract Management.
