Mercer University is seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst to join its IT Application Services team on the Macon, Georgia campus. The primary role of this position is to act as an integrator, collaborating with data analysts and end users to develop a comprehensive data system solution. The incumbent will be responsible for providing Tier 3 level technical support for applications across the University, which includes liaising with third-party vendors for additional assistance when necessary. This role demands strong logic and programming skills, as well as the ability to work independently to produce effective computer-based solutions from requirements documents with minimal supervision. The Senior Programmer Analyst will be expected to create logic flow charts, design documents, and system documentation at a senior level. The position requires a solid foundation in object-oriented programming (OOP), .Net and C# programming, as well as relational database design and programming. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to produce applications work product from end-user specifications and requirements, ensuring that all solutions meet the needs of the University’s diverse user base. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of the University’s IT systems and enhancing the overall user experience.
