About the position

The Senior Programmer Analyst at Federal Express Corporation is responsible for analyzing and developing system requirements, programming specifications, and conducting unit tests to meet business needs for large projects. This role focuses on the Planview product suite, requiring strong technical skills to develop, customize, and manage solutions that enhance portfolio management capabilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Planview products or similar Enterprise Demand Management tools, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement custom solutions within the Planview platform to meet business requirements.
  • Customize Planview features, including dashboards, reports, and workflows, to align with organizational needs.
  • Integrate Planview products with other enterprise systems to ensure seamless data exchange and process automation.
  • Develop and maintain APIs and integration points to support effective data flow and system interoperability.
  • Provide technical support for Planview users, addressing and resolving issues related to system functionality.
  • Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to enhance system reliability.
  • Develop and maintain advanced reports and dashboards within Planview to provide actionable insights.
  • Analyze system usage and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations and customizations.
  • Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective use of Planview products.
  • Work closely with product owners, business analysts, and project managers to gather requirements and define project scope.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field.
  • Five years of qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, SQL, and experience with data integration.
  • Strong understanding of Planview architecture and customization capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Familiarity with ITSM frameworks and system administration.
