About the position
The Senior Programmer role involves participating in the design, development, testing, and implementation of new or modified applications software. The position requires a strong understanding of software development principles, operating systems, and database management, along with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design, development, testing, and implementation of new or modified applications software.
- Support nightly batch processes on a rotation basis with team members.
- Maintain and optimize existing systems and processes.
- Create and manage tasks on an enterprise scheduling system.
- Work with various levels of IT analysts, DBAs, and other professionals to resolve production issues.
- Prepare effective reports and maintain standardized technical documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming.
- At least four (4) years of experience in a lead capacity.
- One (1) year of experience in CGI Advantage 4.x upgrade.
- Two (2) years of experience using Integration tools - PDI9 and Pentaho.
- Three (3) years of experience in ERP expertise in CGI Advantage 3.11 Financial applications support.
- Experience in developing, maintaining, and updating Unix scripts and PL/SQL modules.
- Experience in evaluating existing systems and processes for performance enhancement.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with artificial intelligence language tools for job description enhancement.
