About the position

The Senior Project Account Manager is responsible for managing customer relationships within a specific geographic area, focusing on sustainable growth and strategic initiatives. This role involves collaborating with various departments to deliver value and establish Hilti as a trusted partner, ultimately driving sales and market share growth.

Responsibilities

  • Make outside, face-to-face sales to an assigned set of strategic VIP customers.
  • Develop, analyze, and manage business plans related to the customer database.
  • Utilize Time and Territory Management (TTM) to create and own a daily schedule.
  • Demonstrate consultative selling and collaborate with customers to assess their needs.
  • Demonstrate Hilti products and services in person with customers.
  • Identify key roles on jobsite projects and understand their responsibilities.
  • Nurture strategic relationships with top accounts and create business plans to identify product gaps.
  • Collaborate with various departments including materials management and customer service.
  • Maintain company assets such as vehicles and inventory.
  • Participate in construction industry trade organizations to build relationships.
  • Coordinate efforts of relevant Account Managers when necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Three (3) years prior experience working directly with customers preferred.
  • Demonstrated success as a Hilti Account Manager or developing key customer accounts preferred.
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce.com platform preferred.
  • Proven ability working on strategic projects with a long-term focus.
  • Experience in business development or developing customer accounts into engaged customers.
  • Ability to influence without authority and lead important projects.
  • Some experience with reading and understanding construction documents preferred.
  • Previous experience preparing professional sales presentations and quotes.
  • Demonstrated abilities in selling to senior or executive level leaders.
  • Ability to thrive independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent time and territory management skills.
  • Must be persuasive, sales driven, customer focused, and a team player.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite and smartphones.
