About the position

The Senior Project Controls Analyst at Turner & Townsend plays a crucial role in supporting the financial management and forecasting of construction projects within the data center team. This position involves collaboration with global construction teams and various internal departments to ensure effective project cost management and risk identification, contributing to the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide preconstruction support during project approval phase, including historical cost data and development of annual contractor purchase orders.
  • Manage internal project budget and schedule of values within project management software for monthly financial reporting on multiple New Builds and Retrofit projects.
  • Manage external project budget and communications within external project management software, including commitment management and change management.
  • Manage monthly forecasts and cash flows, understand forecast variances, and develop monthly executive reports.
  • Oversee the monthly vendor invoice review process, including project management review and communication with Accounts Payable.
  • Ensure accurate quarterly accrual reporting for all existing purchase orders, including communication with vendors and Finance.
  • Facilitate change order routing and review processes within project management software, including content analysis and executive approval.
  • Review project financial health with management team each month using dashboards and budget software.
  • Manage the Internal and Contractor Risk Register update and contingency evaluation.
  • Conduct financial closeout of internal budgets and vendor purchase orders.
  • Work closely with Site Scheduler to ensure financial forecasts and risks align with schedule updates.
  • Assist with programmatic initiatives, training, and alignment opportunities.

Requirements

  • BA/BS or equivalent in construction management or engineering.
  • Demonstrated working experience in construction and project planning for large multi-project construction programs.
  • Strong collaboration skills and problem-solving mindset.
  • Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and Google Suite.
  • Familiarity with cost control tools such as eBuilder, Procore, or others.
  • Ability to clearly communicate financial status and schedule details from multiple construction sites to project managers.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
