About the position

The position is responsible for project coordination within the Perinatal Neonatal Program at University Health. Reporting directly to the Director of the program, the individual will manage multiple projects that align with the strategic growth, education, and resource initiatives of the organization. This role involves organizing, implementing, and evaluating outreach activities for both inpatient and outpatient programs, with a particular emphasis on high-risk maternal patients. The project coordinator will also play a crucial role in referral and business development support, ensuring that the needs of these patients are met effectively. In addition to managing outreach activities, the project coordinator will oversee various healthcare projects, including scheduling, departmental contracts, and budget management. This requires close collaboration with legal services, contracting, and finance staff to maintain appropriate fiscal control and ensure that all projects are executed within budgetary constraints. The coordinator will also be responsible for liaising with hospital and medical staff, as well as rural and community referring providers, to facilitate smooth operations and communication. Furthermore, the role includes supporting the development and coordination of special community events aimed at enhancing referral opportunities and promoting the services offered by University Health. This aspect of the position is vital for building relationships within the community and ensuring that the organization remains a trusted resource for maternal health services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
