Responsibilities

  • Project management of complex environmental remediation projects.
  • Preparation of technical reports and proposals.
  • Development and oversight of remedial/removal actions.
  • Supervision of soil and groundwater investigations.
  • Business development and personnel supervision.
  • Assistance in staff development and mentoring in technical areas.
  • Management of project proposals and technical approach content.
  • Delegation of tasks to staff and ensuring completion.
  • Development of expertise and internal reputation as a technical resource.
  • Management of client expectations and communication with clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Reporting project status to the manager.
  • Serving as a senior technical manager and technical reviewer for reports.
  • Ensuring adherence to quality standards required by ERRG.
  • Ownership of assignments and completion of tasks.
  • Adherence to project-specific and corporate-wide safety policies.
  • Execution of field activities and maintenance of documentation for closure.
  • Forecasting personal utilization and notifying supervisor of availability.
  • Maintaining a professional image while interacting with clients.
  • Keeping an updated resume and following through on assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental remediation or related projects.
  • Strong project management skills and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and mentor junior staff effectively.
  • Proficiency in preparing technical reports and proposals.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in field sampling and soil/groundwater investigations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
