About The Position
EIG Electrical Systems is seeking a Senior Project Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of commercial construction experience. The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing commercial projects within our core markets, which include advanced technology, commercial, healthcare, higher education, and life sciences. This role requires close collaboration with all members of the project team to ensure successful project execution and adherence to EIG's standards and policies. The Senior Project Engineer will actively participate in the application of EIG's environmental health and safety plan, ensuring a consistently injury-free environment by performing weekly safety audits. Mentorship and development of team members are crucial, as is the management of other project engineer team members. The role also involves understanding and enforcing contracts between the general contractor and the owner, assisting the superintendent and project manager in implementing EIG policies, and organizing the duties of other engineers and project staff. Key responsibilities include preparing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, maintaining various document control entities, and distributing project information to all affected parties. The Senior Project Engineer will also be involved in project cost control, preparing owner billing, and ensuring that changes are properly documented and compensated. This position requires a flexible, detail-oriented team player who can manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. A strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in project management and scheduling software are essential for success in this role.
