About the position

The Senior Project Engineer will support and maintain essential data, information, communications, and approvals required for project and company requirements. This role involves participating in document and project control systems, attending project meetings, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. The engineer will assist in project closeout procedures and interface with regulatory bodies, while managing multiple projects concurrently in both office and plant environments.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain data, information, communications, and approvals required by project and company requirements.
• Participate in and maintain document and project control systems and procedures.
• Attend project meetings, documenting and tracking relevant information and statuses.
• Obtain, track, and document contractor and subcontractor contractual requirements, including safety and performance aspects.
• Assist in project closeout procedures.
• Identify design requirements, drawings, and inspection requirements to support the project.
• Interface with the regulator (NRC) regarding licensing and compliance with regulations.
• Become qualified to perform engineering changes and design verifications.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution or a minimum of 5 years experience in engineering/operations/projects/licensing at a nuclear power plant.
• High attention to detail and enjoyment of detailed work.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in projects related to License Renewal Implementation.
• Experience in piping repair or replacement.
• Knowledge of pipe stress software.
• Pipe support knowledge.
• Design experience.
• Experience with 50.59 processes.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
