About the position

The position at Monarch Landscape Companies involves providing estimating, administrative, and clerical support to Project Managers. The role is essential for managing project documentation, subcontractor relations, and ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a focus on customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers in various tasks.
  • Analyze plans, specifications, and documentation to prepare material lists.
  • Review and detail revisions to project plans and specifications.
  • Process and manage communication for revisions, change orders, and new plans.
  • Track plan revisions and follow up on subcontractor pricing as required.
  • Administer and file communications with general contractors and architects.
  • Send plans and specifications to subcontractors as required.
  • Process and track quote requests for site furnishings, subcontractors, and plant materials.
  • Assist in communicating project information to field superintendents as required.
  • Maintain RFI and Change Order Logs.
  • Work with the Purchasing Department to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials.
  • Coordinate and track communication with subcontractors.
  • Assist in managing subcontracts, change orders, billings, and closeouts.
  • Compile, document, and submit submittals, and update logs as necessary.
  • Coordinate site furnishing submittals and procurement with purchasing and field teams.
  • Manage closeout coordination including as-builts and warranty letters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in construction, administration, business, or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of experience in construction estimating, specifically in landscape construction.
  • Valid driver license as required by state and federal law.
  • Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, OST or similar Take-Off software, and other applicable software.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and projects independently and simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and customer service-focused.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong phone and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle responsibilities professionally.
  • General knowledge of plant, irrigation, construction, and drainage.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
